Welcome to the Victorian Legal Admissions Board's. Short video outlining police report requirements for admission. All applicants for admission require a police report. If you live or have ever lived in Australia, you need to obtain your Australian police report through Victoria Police via the link below.

If you have never lived in Australia, you must obtain a report from the jurisdiction of your current residence. Once you have your police report. Upload it to your online application. 

If you live in Australia and have lived overseas for more than three months in the past 12 months, you will also need to provide a foreign police report in addition to your Australian police report.

A foreign police report can be obtained through Equifax, fit to work via the link below, or you can get this directly from the foreign jurisdiction that you lived in. 

All police reports must not be dated more than six months before you start your admission application. If it is more than six months old, you will be asked to provide a new report.

The board may exercise its discretion by seeking any additional police reports as they pertain to any matter, including suitability. For more videos in the series, please click the link below
